Pre Ceremony Yoga to Prepare Your Body and Mind for Ayahuasca

Our yoga classes are specifically designed to enhance the wonderful work we do with ayahuasca. Creating an internal landscape of spaciousness by lightly stretching the muscles and fascia will allow the medicine an ongoing and rich expansion on a cellular level. These practice sessions are nurturing, calming, grounding, releasing with a hint of playfulness and lightheartedness. All body types can safely practice our classes regardless of experience, flexibility, or strength.

The body naturally undergoes a certain level of sensitivity and fatigue when working with ayahuasca. Many styles of yoga are not suitable during a plant medicine intensive such as power yoga, Ashtanga, and vigorous vinyasa flows. The classes we have designed will direct you back to yourself through deep breathing and slow, conscious movement while restoring harmony in the mind and body.

Pranayama (breath work) is also one of the 8 limbs of the yogic system. There are many techniques and types of breathing exercises ranging from beginner to advanced. Some pranayama exercises are stimulating while others are calming. Due to the activating nature of ayahuasca, our pranayama practices inspire peace, relaxation, and equilibrium while assisting the medicine with the overall purification process.
