The Spirit of Our Collective
Welcome to Intertwining Medicines-
From Our Heart to Yours
Greetings and namaste. We are a small and dedicated team bringing together our passions, knowledge, gifts, and medicines into one collective healing space. Every team member has roots around the world thus bringing a different set of skills, language, and flavor to co-create a unique and intimate ayahuasca immersion in the magical Sacred Valley, Peru.
Our Western staff members are sincerely committed to the path of ayahuasca. Each of us individually has more than a decade of personal ayahuasca experience, and collectively we share nearly 50 years of ayahuasca experience. We are long term apprentices of ayahuasca curanderismo in the Shipibo tradition.
As a team we hold deep reverence, respect, and appreciation for the intense apprenticeship process as we grow our unique connections to plants as our loving teachers. All of our guests are welcomed into our “kano” (Shipibo for channel or container) as members of our personal medicine family.
Ethos
It is our pledge to honor, respect, and preserve the sacred traditions of the indigenous Shipibo tribe.
It is our pledge to serve this sacrament with the utmost integrity, love, and safety to all ceremony participants.
It is our pledge to raise awareness of ayahuasca as a therapeutic tool for the benefit of the whole.
It is our pledge to source our medicine direct from the Shipibo healers we work with using sustainable harvesting methods. We believe this to be a very important principle of ayahuasca integrity as Shipibo healers always prefer to serve and drink their own brews.
It is our pledge to always maintain a small group container as smaller ceremonies mirror the origins of Shipibo ayahuasca healing. Large group settings pose more risk of energetic contamination despite large retreat centers gaining popularity within ayahuasca tourism.
It is our pledge to practice harmonious and ethical treatment of all staff members and all retreat participants.
It is our pledge to educate about ayahuasca safety, protocols, and the practice of energy healing arts while simultaneously educating of the dangers and potential harm when ayahuasca is not used with intent for healing.
It is our pledge to speak with transparency of the detriment of ayahuasca malpractice within the global ayahuasca community including taboo topics such as black magic (brujeria), ayahuasca cults, psychic assault, plant medicine manipulation, sexual misconduct, and the inevitable oversights of unqualified people/places serving ayahuasca in an unregulated industry.
