Intertwining Medicines offers a variety of trauma-sensitive ayahuasca retreats combining the Amazonian healing rites of indigenous plant medicine tradition with grounding practices such as mindfulness meditation and restorative yoga.

With a focus on very small group settings of 5-10 guests per retreat, we create the safest possible container to foster a deeply personal and intimate healing journey for each person. Every guest receives one to one guidance, professional facilitation, and compassion-focused consultations led by our highly experienced team.

Included in our therapeutic programs are private online preparation sessions before each retreat, ongoing integration support, medicinal plant treatments, ancestral teachings of the Shipibo lineage, and much more.

Operating from two locations based out of both the Amazon rainforest and Sacred Valley of the Incas in the Peruvian Andes, our retreat schedule includes options for beginners, non beginners, and experienced ayahuasca students interested in growing deeper roots with indigenous teachings. We also hold specialty retreats and ayahuasca immersions such as women’s ayahuasca retreats, men’s ayahuasca retreats, and Shipibo plant dietas.

“This experience has left a lasting imprint on my heart. I wholeheartedly recommend Intertwining Medicines to anyone feeling called to this path of deep healing and connection.”

Trauma-Sensitive Care With Our Devoted Team

We are a small and dedicated team bringing together our passions, knowledge, gifts, and medicines into one collective healing space. Every team member has roots around the world thus bringing a different set of skills, language, and flavor to co-create extraordinary ayahuasca immersions in the jungles and mountains of Peru.

Our Western staff members are sincerely committed to the path of ayahuasca, and are long term apprentices of ayahuasca curanderismo in the Shipibo tradition. Each core member of our facilitation team has more than 16 years of personal ayahuasca healing with extensive time in plant dietas. Collectively our team shares 70+ years of ayahuasca experience.

Follow us on Instagram for updates, videos of our retreats, recent client testimonials, and interviews with our Shipibo healers.

Our Ceremonial Maloka For Ayahuasca Ceremonies

Following every Sacred Valley retreat we offer an optional private tour to sacred sites such as the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo and Pisac Temple, and we finish with a day trip to the spectacular citadel of Machu Picchu.
